Peach Crumble Shake & 24 more Vegan Smoothies
Ingredients
- 2 ripe peaches – pitted, sliced and frozen
- ¼ cup rolled oats
- 1 pitted Medjool date
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1 tablespoon almond butter
- big squeeze of fresh lemon juice
- ¾ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder, optional
- 1 cup non-dairy milk
- ½ cup filtered water
Equipment
Notes
- I used my cashew pecan milk for the non-dairy milk here. SO good! But any milk will due.
- The lemon juice seems weird, but is necessary to lift up some of the oat-y, sweet flavours here. If you have orange juice around, a splash of that might work too.
- I don’t want to sound too precious, but slicing and freezing ripe summer peaches is pretty crucial to the success of this one. The bagged frozen peaches in the freezer aisle have less peachy flavour and skew more towards neutral.
Instructions
- In an upright blender, combine the frozen peaches, oats, date, chia seeds, almond butter, lemon juice, cinnamon, vanilla, protein powder (if using) non-dairy milk, and water. Blend on high until thoroughly combined and frothy. It’ll be super thick! Enjoy immediately.
These smoothies look so delicious and healthy! I’m definitely going to have to try them out. I love smoothies and I’m always looking for new and healthy recipes.
so many creative smoothie recipes, thank you, the beet and blood orange one especially, so creative to use those two ingredients!
Laura these smoothies are getting me through the early days of a new baby! So nice to have all these recipes in one place and always so complete. Thank you!
What are the nutritional numbers: calories, sugar, sat fat, etc.?
Love all the smoothies. I am going to try each of these.
Hey, I tried the Tahini Shake and I love it! I have my own version of the recipe I got from this book.https://tinyurl.com/PlantBasedCookbkLet me know what you think.
Hi, the smoothies look is extremely devouring, and I want to gulp them all up simultaneously. Lol! But as I couldn’t, so I decided to make them all one by one during this summer, the first one I tried is Caramel Smoothie, and it was so delectable. Thank you for sharing the recipes with us.
This all makes me very excited for peak smoothie season. I get so overwhelmed at choosing a protein powder (#firstworldproblems)- any personal recommendations?
My absolute favourite by a large margin is Epic Protein by Sprout Living. It’s minimally sweetened with whole leaf stevia (most plant-based proteins are way too sweet for me), and just has great flavour. I generally switch between chocolate and vanilla.
I’ll check them out, thank you!
Hi Laura – are you able to recommend any that are not sweetened with stevia? I can’t stand the taste, and even minimal quantities ruin the experience for me.
Hi Ania,
I honestly haven’t tried one that I like. Epic Protein by Sprout Living has an unflavoured protein in their lineup that doesn’t have any stevia in it, but it definitely has to be blended up with fruit, non-dairy milk etc. I wouldn’t recommend shaking it with just water and ice. I’ve heard that the flavoured protein powder from Bob’s Red Mill is quite good and it’s sweetened with monk fruit (not sure if you’re into that one).

Thanks for your recommendations, Laura. I’ll give these a try for sure. I always add protein powders to smoothies, so I don’t care that it can’t just be shaken with ice. I haven’t come across the BRM you’re recommending – last time I picked up BRM pea protein powder (just pea protein as an ingredient), but I find it tastes a little weird, even when mixed with fruit into smoothies. I wish it were possible to buy single serving packets, but I think only Vega sells these, but even though they have tons of lovely flavors, they all do contain stevia.
Styling smoothies is the bane of my existence, and I’m always in awe of how you style yours so artfully!!
The pictures are SO BEAUTIFUL. I’m loving them so much and also the recipe must be amazing.
You’re a mind reader! I came here this morning looking for a smoothie recipe (because your smoothies are always the best) and I’m greeted with this amazing list! I just made the pumpkin lassi and it’s incredible.
